Yes I Know You've Heard It All Before ... But ... Anelka is coming

The Evening Chronicle tonight says that Freddy Shepherd is ready to fly to meet Fenerbahce officials to sort out a deal and finally bring the ex-Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City striker to Tyneside.
Mind you ...  this is the same newspaper that said Fulham's Luis Boa Morte would be a Newcastle player "by Monday". And that Monday happened to be the one just gone. They claimed Boa Morte was desperate to come to Newcastle because he had spoken to Lee Clark and Andy Cole, who loved the place. Today they claim he is "digging his heels in" and won't be coming.
The fans are desperate for a new face, and with nothing happening, it makes us wonder if this is another story being re-hashed to fill the back pages of the sports supplements.
