Would Wes Brown Come To Newcastle?

The Newcastle United boss is keen to strengthen his defence with players who have proved they can perform in the Premiership.

Brown continues to stall over a new deal, but Sir Alex Ferguson continues to pick him in the team.

Silvestre has missed much of this season after picking up a serious knee injury in the Red Devils' 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park back in September.

The 30-year-old is now close to full fitness, and made his return to the reserve side in a friendly clash at Bolton Wanderers in midweek.
