If ever a player likes to play "with the sun on his back" ... it is Mark Viduka. You ask Boro fans how often the Oz striker was in the treatment room at the Riverside during the cold snap.
However, Viduka has made his long awaited return to training at Newcastle United.
The striker has not kicked a ball for the club since May because of a niggling Achilles problem, but first-team coach Chris Hughton has revealed he could be back in action in a fortnight.
Hughton: "Mark's been out for a while with an Achilles problem and he has been going through the rehab process.
"
Today was the first time he has trained with the group, but with regards to getting him back in a Newcastle shirt, we are not sure yet.
"Hopefully, he will be involved over the next two or three weeks, but the problem with any timescale is that the player has been out for a while and we have to be careful with him.
"For the moment, it is day to day."
We'll see.
