Viduka, Martins And Duff Out For Another Month At Least!

The transfer window closes on Monday and Mike Ashley is still keeping his money in his arse pocket.

Kevin Keegan revealed after the game that Mark Viduka is still at least four weeks away from returning to the picture.

Both Oba Martins and Damien Duff are expected to be out for a similiar time after their respective groin and knee injuries picked up in Saturday's victory over Bolton.

Keegan: "If we don't get anybody, we'll have to wait for everybody to come back and this could take some time.

"Mark Viduka's four or five weeks away, and Obafemi Martins is out for three or four weeks, as is Damien Duff.

"The young back-up we've got, in Andy Carroll and Kazenga LuaLua, is also injured. They would have made our bench a bit stronger, but as it was, we had a 17-year-old among our substitutes.

"At a smaller club that's OK, but not here. Alan Smith's also injured, so we've been hit hard. You can't legislate for that - you could sign about 10 strikers, but when they're all fit, you've got a problem.

"If we don't get anybody in, we'll soldier on, but hopefully, we might still get a couple more players in."
