Toon Joy But 'Dodgy' Scottish FA Bend The Rules For Old Firm!

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan and Scottish Premier League chairman Lex Gold have criticised the UEFA president because it could hit the Old Firm in the pocket.

The fact remains the Scottish league consists of two clubs - Celtic and Rangers - and nothing North of the border matters.

As long as you have a Scottish League Celtic and Rangers will occupy the top two places, guaranteeing them their respective places in the Champions League year-in-year-out.

BUT ... Platini is a French romantic, and the guy wants to see the little fish have a crack at the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ... AND GOOD ON HIM!

But Lex Gold is up in arms. How can dare the threaten the Old Firm's grip on Scottish football? Motherwell, Hearts or Greta in the Champions League? It is unthinkable.

As for Strachan, he suggests teams would be able to "fluke" their way to the brink of Europe.

Pointing out the example of 2005/06 cup finalists Gretna, who had just been crowned Second Division champions, Strachan told BBC1's Inside Sport programme: "No disrespect, but I don't think that's Scottish football at its best.

"You can fluke a couple of results to get to a final. If you play in the championship and you are second or first you deserve to be there."

Gold said of Platini: "He is damaging our prospects.

"Our top clubs have got very good experience in Europe and that is feeding through to our national game."

In other words: "Celtic and Rangers and forget the rest".

Is there any other league in the world that only has two clubs like Scotland?
