Milan Baros looks set for Aston Villa, and expect Michael Owen to return to Liverpool. Baros says it is time to "say goodbye" to the Reds.
The Czech striker is preparing for his country's friendly in Sweden on Wednesday and accepts his days with in the red strip of the Scousers are numbered.
Villa are still holding out for the price to drop and see Rafael Benitez's £7million asking price for the 23-year-old a little over-the-top, but Baros is keen to join the Midlanders.
Baros said: "It would be better if I leave Liverpool. I love the club very much, it has wonderful fans and a super stadium. But the time comes to say goodbye and go somewhere else. Even if I do what I can, it will not help me get into the starting line-up. So it would be better to leave."
The £7million price tag put off German club Schalke, as well as Valencia.
Benitez is reportedly willing to accept a reduced offer of £6.5million and Baros is hoping the move can be agreed within the next few days. Paving the way for Liverpool to make that move on Owen.
