“We had Demba Ba here and we knew that would be a big loss, which it was.
“We replaced him with Loic.
“If we don’t manage to secure Loic we will have to replace it again.
“That comes down to your scouting team of Graham Carr and his crew and myself making sure we get the right player who will get the goals for us.
“The bottom line really is that we know what we have to do in the summer.
“We’ve got to bring in a bit more quality. You can’t fault the players for the effort and the commitment.
“If we aren’t good enough at the moment all we can do is keep banging on the door.
“We did that right to the end (against Everton).
“Maybe if Vurn (Anita) sneaks that goal in we could have had a grandstand finish and got something out of the game.”
