But we are in November - the month when the shit hits the fan - and clubs start fearing relegation.

One of those clubs is QPR, but chairman Tony Fernandes insists he has complete faith in under-fire manager Mark Hughes as the Loftus Road club still search for their first League win of the season.

The R's players were jeered off the pitch following Sunday's 1-1 home draw against fellow strugglers Reading to claim only their fourth league point of the campaign.

And supporters are already talking about who they want next.

Fernandes: "I have complete faith in Mark Hughes and we have a great squad, we just need to hold out for that stability and I'm sure things are going to go right.

"It's been one of those frustrating seasons for us but I'm keeping the faith and keeping calm. It's not a time to panic.

"I'm not sure what language I have to say it in, I don't how else I can do it but I am 100 per cent committed.

"We won't be detracted by fans or media, we're confident in our approach and changing our manager now would be suicidal.

"Mark's a good guy, he's got good records before him, he needs a bit of luck but cream always rises to the top. He has our backing."

Which obviously means one thing - Hughes is very very close to the sack!

We've heard it all before, and it's the dreaded "Kiss Of Death" getting support from the Chairman.

QPR go to Stoke on Saturday; then face fellow strugglers Southampton the following week; after which ... it's Old Trafford!

Would Shearer consider the job? I'm sure he would.
