Glenn Roeder: "I don't know and I couldn't say whether he'll play again this season, we'll just have to wait and see. It goes without saying that Michael has an injury that's going to take a fair bit of time to repair and get better.
''If we put a date on it and I say we'll have Michael Owen back by next March and next March comes round and he isn't fit, it causes more problems than you would want.
"The fact is, if he doesn't play until towards the end of the season, for the number of games he's played and the amount of time he's been here, obviously it wouldn't have been a good return. But that isn't Michael's fault."
