Swansea held the ball for the majority of the game ... but playing the ball across your back-line and not even trying to get forward ... is NOT going to win matches.

They had players with one motivation in mind - play the ball safe.

It's INSPIRATION that wins matches!

Brendan Rodgers: "I'm a bit stunned to be honest.

"We made a good start with the ball and then it's a perfect start for them to get a goal so early.

"We were beaten by quality today in Cisse, and we can't be too disappointed because we were playing a team challenging for a Champions League place.

"To dominate the ball in a game like that means I am proud of the players.

"We had opportunities but we needed a bit of luck, we had over 20 efforts at goal, 13 on target.

"But we were undone early on and the second goal was likewise, we conceded possession on halfway and Cabaye has made two perfect dead-weight passes and Cisse produced two terrific finishes, in particular the second one."
