Robson hits back at whinging Wenger

Wenger has moaned that with Arsenal due to play at St.James Park at 5.35 on March 9th his players would not have timer to recuperate for a Champions League game midweek.

The FA have already moved the game from the Sunday back to the Saturday, bit even that was not enough for the Arse's manager.

However Wenger's selfish whinging fails to take into account that Newcastle also have an important clash with Liverpool the Wednesday previously, and moving the game forward would not leave us enough time to recuperate for the Cup clash.

"You can't arrange a kick-off for one side. Two teams play not one," Robson said in the Evening Chronicle tonight.

"Wenger has talked about needing time for Arsenal's Champions' League match the following week. But we've got a huge game at Liverpool on the Wednesday before the Cup quarter-final.

"There is no advantage for either team.

"The FA Cup time is not a problem for us.

"The powers-that-be have said we kick-off at 5.35 and that's when we'll start.

"Every club likes money and likes to receive the TV fee so we must accept the decision."
