Referee Ignores Sir Bobby Tribute!

A message of condolence by Albion’s PA announcer before Albion’s game against Chievo was interrupted by referee Stuart Attwell, who ignored the message and instructed players to kick-off the Hawthorns’ friendly.

Attwell’s inappropriate gesture infuriated Albion officials.

Di Matteo, who wore a black armband during Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Chievo, said: “We will pay tribute to Sir Bobby on Saturday.

“He was a player here and a true legend in England for what he contributed to football so we will have a minute’s silence as tribute to him.”
