No Foreign Players For Keegan!

Keegan: "This is a difficult window to sign players in. Don't be surprised if we do get some players in, but equally, don't be surprised if we don't get anybody in.

"I would like to bring one or two in just to give the players a boost - I thnk that's what they want.

"The players like to see players coming in. They like to think the club they have joined is ambitious, does want to get better, does want to strengthen and is on the way up and is thinking in a forward way.

"But we cannot pile up players here just because we are short of numbers.

"If we don't get players in over the next week, 10 days, we will have a little bit of a look at some of the younger players towards the end of the season.

"The first thing we have got to do is make sure we get into a safe position, and then we can try to look at players who we think have got a future here but have never had a chance to show anything yet."

"I have really concentrated on players in the Premier League.

"When agents have phoned me up about these great players who are no doubt around Europe, unless I have really known them and they are proven, I have not really looked at them.

"That's for another day. The last thing we need in our situation is a load of foreign players coming in who don't know the Premier League and needing two, three, four months to learn it.

"That's not right."
