More Holidays For Freddy - No Striker Though

The Chronicle revealed yesterday that United were in talks with Fenerbahce in Belgium, of all places, but later the news was that Fenerbahce had rejected United's bid, which as yet is undisclosed.
Apparently Freddy Shepherd feels that Fenerbahce's asking price of £8m was unreasonable bearing in mind they only paid Manchester City between £4m-£4.5m in January.
But, again, it's a massive blow to Souness, who was hoping to hold a press conference ahead of the West Ham game to announce his new striker.
