McClaren - A Broken Man!

The former Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren spouted off in his usual cocky manager, insisting he did no wrong when he was England boss.

Even saying: "I would do exactly the same again", despite England failing to qualify for Euro 2008.

She tried to get him to admit his failings, but he would have none of it and when she asked if any club had offered him a job ... after originally saying no-one had been interested ...he snapped at her: "I wouldn't tell YOU!"

She hit back asking why he told David Beckham he was no longer part of England's plans ... and McClaren denied it ... even though there is footage of the press conference where he thanked Becks for what he had done, but that was the end of the line.

He had the buck to reply: "I made David Beckham a better player by dropping him".

Logan then hit McClaren with the crowd reaction that got him the sack, asking how he took to being called "The Wally In The Brolly".

McClaren filled up with tears, looked broken, then said: "It was hard to take because I wasn't expecting it".

But he is confident that in Fabio Capello the right man has been chosen to succeed him.

McClaren: "He's got the experience; he's got the knowledge; he's been worldwide; he's won titles."

As for McClaren's future: "I think I'd look abroad - I'd look at any job which is working for good people.

"I wouldn't dismiss any job at any level as long as it was a challenge for me and it satisfied my ambition and wanting to succeed again."
