Mike Ashley is planning to build a multi-faith prayer room for the club's players.
There are religious players in the squad, and Alan Pardew says the Newcastle board are conscious of the important role religion plays in their lives.
Alan Pardew: “It’s something I’ve discussed with (club secretary) Lee Charnley, as I think it’s important.
“We look after the players here, and their religious backgrounds.
“Even at the stadium, it’s not ideal. It’s something we’re looking at.
“Religion plays a very important role in some of our players. You have to respect that.
“We need different facilities for them.”
Demba Ba observes Ramadan. He doesn’t eat or drink during daylight hours during Ramadan, which runs for 30 days from July 9 this year ... and he prays fives times a day.
