Loan Signing Named
Glenn Roeder has spoken of this "international defender" who will sign before the weekend.
Apparently Middlesbrough, Chelsea and Fulham have also expressed an interest in Onyewu in the last six months.
He plays for Belgian club Standard Liege. They initially hoped to tie up a permanent deal but have agreed to a loan deal, with a view to a long-term transfer in May.
Fulham offered £1.25m for him in the summer.
His agent Will Sherling: "The best club for him is one that will develop his profile as a player. He doesn't need to get tangled up in which club is bigger than the next."
So that, we take it, rules out Chelsea.
