Liverpool Look To Tiote To Toughen Up Midfield

The Ivory Coast ace has often been linked with a move away from St James' Park, with Chelsea and Arsenal both credited with an interest over the last couple of seasons.

However a move has failed to materialise and Tiote has so far remained at St James' Park.

That could be about to change though as reports suggest Liverpool could make an attempt to lure him away in January.

Tiote has just two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract and now could be a good time to sell if the club are to get the maximum amount of cash for him.

Tiote will be 29 at the end of the season and Newcastle will be looking for a fee in the region of £10million if they are to cash in.
