Ladies Man Souness Set For Romantic Weekend

Having mocked Patrick Kluivert for leaving a London nightclub without a woman in tow, Graeme Souness has now revealed that he is taking his wife to Paris for a romantic weekend.

When asked if he was going to Paris to run rule over Jean-Alain Boumsong for the French under 21’s side he replied, ‘I’m taking my wife to Paris for a romantic weekend which will take priority over football. But, yes, I will also take in the Under 21 match and the full international between France and Rep. of Ireland’ writes the Daily Record. He also distanced himself from a move for Boumsong stating that he wouldn’t be talking to any contracted player.

A romantic weekend! Souness is fast establishing himself as a ladies man following his disparagement of Kluivert coupled with his own reputation as a ‘Champagne Charlie’ during his heyday as a player.

Perhaps Souness can lend some advice to the players and offer some much needed guidance in the lady stakes. A word of encouragement from our boss could see Kieron Dyer reignite his involvement with Cheryl Tweedy – with her career looking far more prosperous than our underachieving midfielder.

At last we appear to have a manager who has a good understanding of the young footballer and how they work. This was one area in which Sir Bobby was sadly out of touch.

How long before we see Souness donning a diamond earing and trucker cap and joining the boys in their Quayside exploits?
