Kinnear And That Disastrous Relegation Season

Last updated : 26 June 2013 By Footy Mad - Editor

dAlthough reports say he won five games out of 26, he actually only won FOUR from 21.

I take it some reporters include the win over West Brom, but Kinnear was in hospital that day, and Chris Hughton was stand-in boss.

Kinnear signed for Newcastle on Septer 26th 2008, and he suffered a heart attack on February 7th 2009.

His only wins were against West Brom, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and Spurs.

When he suffered his heart attack we had not won in EIGHT games!

Kinnear's season at Newcastle ended in relegation to the Championship but he said United were in 12th place when he was taken ill ... but we were 15th.

And as for his quote last week: "I played more than 400 games for Spurs!" ... he played 196.
