Kerr set for return from Coventry

The Scotland Under-21 international has had a tough time at Coventry, with Gary McAllister choosing to play him on out of position on the right wing.

"It was good to get away on loan at a club as big as Coventry and it has given me a bit more experience," Kerr told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

"I have played a few games and it has been good for me, but it is just a little disappointing that I have not played in the area that I believe is my best position, through the middle.

"I have not spoken to Coventry about extending my loan but I am hoping to be involved against Ipswich on Saturday."

Kerr has made four appearances for the Sky Blues, but has found himself out of the first team in recent weeks.

With the injuries to Laurent Robert and Hugo Viana there is every chance that Kerr will find himself back in the first team reckoning at St James’ Park.
