With the Magpies set for a season in the second tier of English football, Janmaat will likely jump at the chance to join the Bianconeri, although both Inter and Napoli are also rumoured to be interested.

Rafa Benitez’s side have put a €13 million pricetag on the Dutch international, although The Sun report that Juventus are only willing to offer half that amount.

The two parties have currently reached a stalemate in negotiations, with Newcastle unwilling to go below €9m whilst The Old Lady are holding firm on their offer as they do not consider the 26-year-old a priority.

Janmaat, who was signed from Feyenoord in 2014 after impressing during the World Cup in Brazil, would provide competition for 32-year-old Stephan Lichtsteiner on the Bianconeri’s right flank.

Having won one major title in his career, the 2009 Dutch Cup with Herenveen, Janmaaat would likely see a move to Turin as a good opportunity to add to his trophy collection.
