Hugo set for early return

If the reports prove correct it will have been a miraculous recovery from the youngster, returning from a shoulder operation a month ahead of schedule.

"I hope to be playing early in February. I went to England for a check up with everyone at Newcastle, and am almost 100 per cent fit," said Hugo.

Sir Bobby will be delighted by the news, with crucial Champions League and Premiership fixtures throughout February.
