Former Mackem Couldn't Punch His Way Out Of A Paper Bag

Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg has insisted the club remain "fully committed" to keeping former Sunderland boss Roy Keane in charge at Portman Road.

Keane's future has come under scrutiny in recent days after a poor season ... and he didn't come across well last week on Sky Sports when he said: "No I don't throw tea-cups around the dressing room ... I'd rather punch the players!"

Yes it was tongue-in-cheek, but the media were quick to question the way he works.

Personally, I don't think his players have much to worry about if his swing at Alan Shearer is anything to go by.

That day at St James' Park will long live in the memory.

Shearer stood there calling him a "prick", and Keane came bouncing out of his pram.

Shearer knew the cameras were on them, and kept up the tormenting: "Look at you ... you're a PRICK!"

Then came the Keane swing - that was so telegraphed - Shearer pulled away and had time to add another two "you're a prick!"

A magical SJP moment.
