Saha, who scored the best FA Cup goal of his career when he played for Newcastle at Ewood Park in 1999, has been struggling with knee and hamstring problems for the past few weeks.

24 hours after it was revealed skipper Gary Neville would miss the Wembley trip, Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the French forward is sidelined as well.

Ferguson: "Louis is out. He picked up the knee injury in Milan and we did another scan on Monday to identify the problem more clearly."

Saha's goal against Blackburn was in a 5th Round replay after we drew 0-0 with Rovers at St James' Park. The 1-0 win at Ewood Park earned us quarter-final fixture with Everton, and we reached the final that season, losing to Manchester United at Wembley.
