Elliott rejects Forest offer

Forest boss Paul Hart is apparently surprised by the development after Newcastle had agreed to the deal, and he isn’t the only one.

Elliott doesn’t strike me as the sort of player who would be happy seeing out his contract in the reserves, so why would he have rejected a move to one of the best teams in Division One?

Well perhaps he has seen us use three left backs so far this season and as none of them have had any kind of success he believes that he will soon get another chance in the first team.

Despite the fact that he, along with Clarence Acuna and Nikos Dabizas, have effectively been told that their United careers are over they must all be confident that they will soon be recalled to the squad after recent performances.

True, none of them would get anywhere near the Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea teams, but the idea of Elliott and Acuna getting stuck in against Everton isn’t quite as ridiculous as it might at first seem.
