After the England star had given another all action performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday Sir Bobby said: "It's a bit of a worry. Kieron was marvellous again tonight, and his run to win the penalty was superb, but he hasn't trained since Saturday and complained of his shin splints at half-time.
"I just wanted to get another 15 minutes out of him and then save him for Saturday. It's a concern but with Jermaine Jenas injured, I can't afford to rest Kieron."
