A prick last season
NK Zeljeznicar' Sead Seferovic has received a 12 month ban for testing positive for ephedrine after the Champions League qualifier with Newcastle.

Considering the cynical, negative tactics the Bosnians used at St James' I can't see that being a great loss to world football.

Our old mate, and Mick McCarthy devotee, Roy Keane has received a five match ban following revelations about his foul on Alfe-Inge Haaland, meaning that he will miss our game with Man United at Old Trafford on November 23. Good!

Midfielder Brian Kerr is to ask for a loan move in order to gain more first team experience. Kerr has just enjoyed a couple of successful appearances with the Scotland Under-21 team and is concerned that he is well behind the likes of Jermaine Jenas, Hugo Viana and Jamie McGlen in terms of first team selection.

Kerr has not expressed any interest in leaving Newcastle permanently though.

Good news for two of our youngsters, with Lewis Guy and Ross Gardener called into the England Under-18 squad for a friendly in Tunisia on November 14.
