Controversy As Pardew Pulls Ba And Cisse Out Of Olympics

Both Cisse and Ba have both made it known their excitement at the thought of playing in the Olympic Games, but that will not happen.

It is believed Pardew expressed concerns over the duo's fitness with both expected to be part of their country's Africa Cup of Nations squad later in the year.

The full Senegal Olympics squad:

Goalkeepers: Ousmane Mane, Papa Demba Camara

Defenders: Abdoulaye Ba, Serigne Kara Mbodji, Saliou Ciss, Papa Gueye, Pape Ndiaye Souare, Zargo Toure, Victor Demba Bindia, Cheikhou Kouyate

Midfielders: Stephane Badji, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Mohamed Diame , Moussa Konate, Sadio Mane

Forwards: Magaye Gueye, Ibrahima Balde, Dame N'Doye

Stand-by: Issa Ndiaye, Ibrahima Seck, Abdoulaye Sane, Kalidou Yero

Senegal will open their Olympic campaign with a game against hosts Great Britain at Old Trafford on July 26.

They will then face Uruguay at Wembley three days later before completing their group campaign against United Arab Emirates in Coventry on August 1.
