Belgian Manager Wants Newcastle To Win!

I don't know how Newcastle fans would act if Glenn Roeder said he wanted to see his team lose a cup tie. And I can remember back in 1991 when Kevin Keegan even defended the Anglo-Italian Cup saying: "We are in it ... it wasn't my choice ... but I'm going to try 110% to win it!"

Francky Dury is effectively calling an end to the Belgian club's European exploits.

Dury: β€œIt's time this European adventure was over. I would like a good result in our home game in Ghent to make the second leg more fun, but after that we will have to concentrate on the league and nothing else. The Uefa Cup has already cost us six points in the league this season and we cannot continue like that.”
