Ashley Has A Lot To Learn About Running A Football Club!

But it's business as usual, as KK tries to bring in a couple of new faces on this the last day of the transfer window.

One Newcastle supporter, Ian Brodie, suggests Ashley should start thinking like a football owner, rather than going about business as though he's running a shop.

Keegan seemed rather surprised at Wise's appointment, but Ian suggests: "KK has always been a bit of an over-reactor.

"My feeling is that the board roles were discussed with him (Keegan) before joining - the potential names might even have been mentioned.

"But I suspect KK was expecting to be consulted before a final decision was made. Whereas Mort/Ashley didn't expect to.

"I wouldn't say it's shocking management. I think Mort/Ashley just aren't used to a business where news travels so fast.

"I can imagine that in Ashley's business he can agree senior appointments and have days to discuss it with the other key people before the news breaks - rather than the milliseconds he'll get with NUFC.

"He should really have figured that out in advance - but it's not really, really bad."
