The Calcutta side had claimed that they were in negotiations about signing Chopra, but United know nothing about it.
"I know nothing about this - it's ludicrous," Sir Bobby told the Sunday Sun.
"Michael might go out for a curry one night but that's as close as he's going to get to moving to India!"
