The Blackburn Rovers chairman said last week he was "very relieved Newcastle appointed Keegan as manager", after the bookies had Mark Hughes 2/1 favourite to be the new Toon boss.
Now Rover have reportedly told Newcastle they cannot sign David Bentley.
The Daily Star reckons new Magpies boss Kevin Keegan is looking to add the player to his squad.
