Still no Cort buyer

The recent rumoured interest from West Brom came to nothing, and now it seems that reports of a £1.2million bid from the Bramall Lane outfit are way off the mark.

Blades boss Neil Warnock told the club’s official website: "Apparently I'm prepared to bid £1.2million, but I wasn't aware that I had that much to spend, and I would expect to bring in about 18 players for that amount!"

With Craig Bellamy injured and Michael Chopra and Lomana LuaLua both set for lengthy absences on international duty, it is questionable whether or not Sir Bobby would want to see Cort leave at the minute anyway.

The views of many supporters and the chairman might be different though!
