Nobby no go

The Peruvian winger has only recently returned to the first team after spending most of the season on the sidelines but he suddenly seems to be regarded as an indispensable member of the squad.

"I haven't spoken to David O'Leary at all and no-one here has heard anything from anyone else at Villa,” said Sir Bobby.

"I'm not looking to sell Nobby Solano anyway. He's a top-class player who is still very much in my plans.

"Of course, every player has his price, but I fully expect Nobby to still be here in February."

If that price were to reach £3million it seems unlikely that Nobby will still be here at the end of the transfer window, particularly with Sir Bobby keen to add some new blood to the squad.
