Although a Geordie by birth Chopra is half-Indian and has apparently been targeted by one of the Indian National Football League’s top clubs, together with Lyon’s Bikash Dhorasoo.
Bagan assistant secretary Balaram Chowdhury told the BBC: "We are trying to bring Michael Chopra and Bikash Dhorasoo on line before the National Football League. It is not yet final. But negotiations are on."
Can’t see there being any truth in this one, but it has given Bagan a nice big slice of free publicity.
