The story goes along the lines that Sir Bobby is keen to offload Nobby because of his international commitments and will replace him with both Lee Bowyer and Brett Emerton.
There are no quotes from anyone to back-up the story and on the surface it seems to be pure speculation, particularly as O’Neill has been told that he won’t have much money to spend on players in the summer and Bowyer still has a six-game European suspension to serve.
