The 18-year-old Australian winger has signed an 18-month contract to launch his professional career at St James' Park.
He is yet to make his senior debut, but has been an unused substitute in three UEFA Cup games this season.

The 21-year-old midfielder moved to Chelsea from Le Havre of France in the summer of 2005 but has made only 11 appearances for the Premiership champions to date.
