Apparently his latest spell under the knife has gone as well as all the rest:-

Which suggests Woodgate will be back next season - for half a game - and come down with gout, syphilis or Amazon swamp-rat fever.
All of which he picked up at St James' Park and missed games.
Yes, perhaps one day he will be back fit and ready for the rigours of a Premiership season.
