Wise Gets No Joy From King Bobby!

Dennis Wise has faced criticism of his role at Newcastle United from the day he walked into the club.

And despite Mike Ashley defending his decision to bring in the former Leeds Utd manager by telling sponsors (at an invited meeting) Kevin Keegan is in "total control and Wise does not get involved" ... we hear Keegan's transfer list was thrown in the bin and Wise brought in his own players.

Wise fought back, and got in touch with Sir Bobby, but got short change if he thought the former Toon boss was going to back down

In his column for the Mail on Sunday, Robson wrote: "Dennis felt I have been a little unfair and wanted to point out that he did come to the north-east on Monday and Tuesdays, and went back on Wednesdays when the players had the day off anyway.

"My response was that my feelings were not personal, but I was speaking as someone who put the club's interests first. My principles are unchanged, I think anyone who holds an important executive position at Newcastle United should be based in or around the city."
