Bellamy is in Birmingham this weekend to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
Bellamy's new home?
The word in Newcastle this morning is that Bellamy doesn’t fancy a move to St.Andrew’s. Who can blame him? No European football and the prospect of forming a partnership with Emile Heskey are hardly enticing factors.
If this is the case then it looks likely that Bellamy will remain at St.James’ Park until the summer when the player himself will be hoping that a more ‘attractive’ proposition presents itself.
I believe that Bellamy is too big for Birmingham and he would become unsettled in no time at all. In every interview Craig Bellamy has given since his arrival at Newcastle he invariably mentions the Champions League – a move to Birmingham would almost certainly put pay to his European aspirations.
But, Craig Bellamy loves playing football. A switch to Steve Bruce’s side would allow the Welshman to do what he loves best as opposed to seeing out the remainder of the campaign in our reserves.
