The 24-year-old has not played for his club since aggravating a hamstring problem against Manchester United on August 28, but managed 45 minutes as a substitute for his country in Albania in midweek.

However, Kieron Dyer, Albert Luque, Titus Bramble and Craig Moore (all hamstring), Celestine Babayaro (groin) and Nolberto Solano (thigh) are all still sidelined.

Wigan manager Paul Jewell has a full squad to choose from for the first time this season for Saturday's lunchtime kick off. Jewel has no fresh injury worries to contend with, while the contingent of international players all reported back fit.
