He outlined his ambitions for the club in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports News.
"I remember coming here with Liverpool to play Newcastle with Kevin Keegan's team," he said. "They were great entertainers and that's the type of football I want to see here, plus being able to win something.
"That's what I want for me, first and foremost, and for the supporters as well. We're all striving for that. It's going to be a difficult season but I can only do my very best."
