Who Will Be First Choice Keeper Next Season?

Alan Pardew gives the Dutch stopper the opportunity to strike a blow in the three-way fight for Newcastle goalkeeping supremacy at Anfield today ... with the promise of more games to come if he continues to perform well.

Pardew: “Harps is fit, but Tim stays in the team. He’s been brilliant.

“He’s got a chance to get a step ahead of Fraser and even Harps in these last four games.

“I wouldn’t say Harps is 100%, he’s at 95%, but next season he’ll be 100% and he won’t be so willing to sit on the bench, I’m sure.

“But he’s been very supportive of Tim and I thank him for that.”
