What Do The Daily Star Know About Newcastle?

He arrived promising to play "the Bolton way" to achieve the "success I achieved at Bolton", and it doesn´t take an A level in football science to have us replying "hang on a minute ... WHAT SUCCESS"?

Allardyce has one way of playing football ... kick the ball until it has snow on it ... and that was what he told his defenders when they tried to play football. "Defenders are not meant to play football, they are there to hoof the ball", and that got the fans on his back right from the start.

He lives by the philosophy of "win ugly." Fair enough ... if we were winning! Instead we were losing ugly, and that is unthinkable.

Man Utd and Arsenal were winning playing free-flowing attractive football. We were a million miles behind them, even though we believe we have some class players.

Ashley and chairman Chris Mort are believed to have been deeply concerned about why Allardyce was testing the patience of the Toon Army.

Yet it was Allardyce's "unwillingness" to drop his long-ball tactics which proved the straw which broke the camel's back. Simply because that is all Allardyce knows!

Is Alan Shearer good enough for the job? Until he takes the job ... we will continue to wonder.

He has had a lot to say about Newcastle in recent weeks, but will he take the job?

And I think the GOALden Boy knows ... it´s now or shut up!
