West Ham Told - Buy One, Get One Free!

West Ham know the position with Dyer. They have been told to up their bid for England international Kieron Dyer to £8m. BUT, if they go that extra yard, they can have Solano for free.

We laughed off West Ham's offer for the Peruvian because they were only prepared to offer him a one year deal, which he already has at St James' Park.

But then it surfaced that Solano's family are currently living in London, and the transfer wasn't quite as laughable as we thought.

There is still a deep rift between the two clubs, with both sides blaming each other over the Dyer transfer that 'never was'.

Alan Curbishley wants both players, and it all depends if the Hammers will get round the table with Toon chairman Chris Mort and sort out a deal.

Personally I'd have Solano in the team in place of Stephen Carr, without question, but Sam Allardyce sees it different. The Peruvian looks to be on his way.
