West Bromwich Albion forward Kevin Phillips has signed a two-year contract with Birmingham, and Albion are again linked with a move for Shola Ameobi.
Ex-Mackem 34-year-old Phillips makes the short trip to St Andrews on a free transfer following his failure to agree a new contract at The Hawthorns.

Phillips was a prolific scorer in The Championship for Albion and his decision to turn his back on Premier League football has surprised many.
In two seasons at The Baggies, Phillips played 81 times and scored 46 goals.
Albion were set to offer £3m for Ameobi last month, but Phillips had second thoughts about leaving The Hawthorns, and the deal was put on ice.
