Arsenal have not won a cup in five years ... yeah that's 35 or so years shorter than us ... but we are used to it.

The Gunners could have gone onto greater things if Wenger knew what a good goalkeeper looked like.

Joey Barton says Newcastle always fancied their chances against Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski on Sunday, and Andy Carroll got the better of him ... just as Chris Hughton had planned.

The Polish stopper, dubbed 'Flappyhandski', was left stranded when the Toon number nine headed home Barton's free-kick for Newcastle's goal in their 1-0 win at the Emirates.

Joey Barton: "The plan before the game was to suck the keeper out at free-kicks.

"It didn't work the first few times but we knew if we got it right, we would get a goal - and that's exactly what happened.

"We knew Arsenal wouldn't like it if we came here and brought everything we have.

"We've had our knockers but that just makes us stronger as a group and this is a fantastic result."
