We Learned That McClaren Is CLUELESS!

"I don't think you can judge us on that game and that performance, which is a shame.

"It's kind of a waste of a game when we need to learn about the players and how we go about things."

We didn't learn much from the players, other than Daryl Janmaat was taken to the cleaners and made to look amateur rather than an international player - and Aleksandar Mitrovic is a bigger Loony Toon than we ever imagined.

But what about McClaren?

2-0 down and he went for damage limitation, playing 35 minutes without a centre-forward.

Throwing away a game he had no intentions of trying to win.

Yes we lost - but at least give it a go!

Those thousands of supporters made the most difficult trip of the season (have you ever tried to get to Swansea!) and had to sit and watch their team with no pivital striker.

As usual Wally sat up in the God's watching the match from the stands rather than shouting encouragement from the dug-out. WHY?

What does he know that Sir Alex Ferguson didn't? What makes him different to Jose Mourinho or Arsene Wenger?

Fans say "give him time". But NOBODY wanted him in the first place.

He turned us down FOUR times and his first words when being introduced to the press as "Newcastle coach and board member (?)" were: "This is a job I have always wanted!"

Pass the sick bucket!

For eight years this man has been a disaster at every club he has been at, So much so the fans of Wolsburg, Nottingham Forest and Derby County cannot stand the man.

When he was announced as Newcastle coach I instantly tried to be first on Newcastle United's website to vent my disgut but I came in 32nd. And 17 before me were Derby County supporters expressing their delight that he had gone!

When we went 35 minutes without a striker yesterday Newcastle Radio presenter Mick Lowes said that every Toon supporter in the away end at Swansea "has more idea than McClaren!"

And I totally agree.

Pre-season results are not taken seriously, but effort of the players clearly means something, and what we saw at Gateshead, Sheffield United and York City was FRIGHTENINGLY POOR.

Were we expecting to kick on from a shocking pre-season run of results to set the Premier League alight?

To be honest - not many of us were. Yes there is the call to "give him a chance" - but what makes anyone (apart from Mike Ashley) think this man is going to put EIGHT YEARS of disaster behind him and be a success at St James' Park?

We are lumbered with an obnoxious nob-head who will get us nowhere.

Ashley is throwing money at players McClaren hasn't even heard of! That was the reason why Kevin Keegan walked.

Even Alan Pardew begged Ashley to sign a mountain of a centre-forward to add power to the strike-force and he wanted Connor Wickham. 6ft 5 inches - a kid who will turn into a powerhouse.

Ashley said "no" and brought in 5 st Remy Cabella!

It's a mess folks. Trust me on that.

He didn't want us in January; he knocked us back again in February; do we want HIM in August?

Personally ... NO WAY!

This book is a collection of the 100 Greatest Newcastle United players of all time, as voted for by NewcastleUtd-Mad.co.uk readers and a panel of journalists who contribute to the website. The players are in an order of five-per-chapter, counting down from 100 to Newcastle United's greatest ever player (as viewed by the author), but the whole point of the book is for YOU (the reader) to decide who goes where. The list is not, by any means, definitive. As with all books of this nature, whether it be "Greatest Albums"; "Best Movies Of All Time"; or "Top 100 Pin-Ups Of The Year" ... no two people have exactly the same opinion. There will be controversy over who is on the list, and chances are, more controversy over who is not. Here are the best of the best. I have painted the picture with each player's profile. Where they end up in the league of NUFC's Greatest is up to you. Because YOU have the final word.

Otherwise ... if you want a signed copy (for a birthday, etc) for £9.95 and no postage ... you can meet me before a match and I will bring a copy along.
