Roy Keane has admitted his interest in resurrecting the Premier League career of Andy Cole by taking the former Newcastle frontman back to Wearside.

The 35-year-old Cole has been looking for a new club after being released by Portsmouth and the Sunderland boss is considering making him one of two more signings before the transfer window closes.
Keane: "Coley has obviously left Portsmouth and that is something I am looking at, I have to say, at the moment. There will probably be news on one or two players who will be coming in."
Keane's interest in Cole has once again displayed his willingness to cross the traditional north-east divide, having already signed Geordie boy Michael Chopra.
